Texas Federal Credit Union (TX) is offering 5.89% APY on a 60 month IRA share certificate. Regular 60 month share certificates are available with a yield of 5.77% APY. Lower yields are available on certificates with shorter maturities. The minimum deposit requirement for these yields is $1,000.

In addition to other avenues to membership in Texas Federal Credit Union, many will find themselves eligible to join this credit union through employment or membership in a number of Dallas, Texas based organizations.

CapitalBank of South Carolina is offering a CD special with a 5.35% APY and a 4-month term. The minimum deposit is $10,000. The special is scheduled to end on Friday, December 14, 2007. It’s only available at the bank’s Greenville County branches. It requires a branch visit at one of the Greenville County branch locations.

Peoples Bank of Tennessee is offering a reward checking account that pays 6.01% APY on balances up to $50K (0.50% for over) and refunds ATM fees if the following monthly requirements are met: 1) 10 debit card transactions, 2) one direct deposit or ACH auto debit, and 3) receive electronic statements. If these are not met, the rate falls to 1.51% APY.

A branch visit is required to open this account. Branches are located in the Tennessee cities of Clifton, Waynesboro and Hohenwald.

Alliant Credit Union is offering 5.15% APY on its 12 and 24 month certificates. The minimum deposit is $1,000. This is also available as an IRA certificate and a Coverdell ESA Certificate.

Membership is open to those who live or work in several Chicagoland communities. National PTA members are also eligible. There’s a $25 membership fee for the National PTA, and it appears that it’s open to all. You can also be eligible via select employer groups and family. Please see the credit union’s members eligibility page for more details. Membership requires a minimum deposit of $5 into the savings account.

Branches are located in Chicago, Des Plaines, and Elk Grove Township, Illinois. There are also branches in Colorad, California and Virginia.

Bank of New Jersey is offering a 5.30% APY certificate of depsoit with terms from 6 to 12 months. The minimum deposit is $10,000. This special certificate is scheduled to last until 12/31/07.

A branch visit is required for this certificate. Bank of New Jersey is located in Fort Lee, New Jersey which is just across the river from Manhattan. It’s a small bank with $181.7 million in assets and $130.1 million in deposits. The bank is fairly new, having been established in 2006.

Fort Belvoir Federal Credit Union is offering 5.00% apy on their 48 & 60 share certificates. The minimum deposit requirement for these certificates is $1,000. These certificates are available as both regular and IRA accounts.

Field of membership in Virginia based Fort Belvoir Federal Credit Union is open to all active duty or retired US Armed Forces as well as a employees, members, worshipers, or volunteers of a number of organizations. Membership is also extended to members of the Friends of Manassas National Battlefield Park which anyone can join for $15.

Midflorida Credit Union (FL) is advertising a 6.00% APY 6-month certificate as part of its grand opening celebration of its North Lakeland branch. It has a minimum deposit of $1,000, and a maximum of $20,000 per household. To qualify, you must have a credit union checking account.

The credit union also has a $77 bonus for opening a new checking account. This seems to be available at all of their branches. The Free Checking qualifies for this bonus. It has no monthly fees, however, the bonus requires that a minimum balance of $100 be maintained in the checking for 77 days.

Field of membership includes those who live, work, worship or attend school in Polk, Highlands, Okeechobee, Sumter, Hardee County or the Poinciana area. Membership requires a minimum deposit of $5 into the share savings account. A $100 minimum balance is required to avoid a low balance fee.

Branches are located in the Florida cities of Arcadia, Auburndale, Bartow, Haines City, Lake Wales, Lakeland, Okeechobee, Poinciana, Sebring, Wauchula and Winter Haven.

ANB Financial of Wyoming (WY) is offering a special 5.82% APY 11-month certificate of deposit. The minimum deposit is $500. There’s a 3-month interest penalty for early withdrawals.

The special CD is part of the grand opening of its new branch in Idaho Falls. They also have branches in Utah and Arkansas, but I’m not sure if this promotion is available in those states.
