Three Rivers Federal Credit Union in Indiana has a high interest checking account called EPIC Checking. The account earns 6.01% annual percentage yield (APY) on balances up to $25,000 and 3.50% APY on portions over $25,000. Plus, with the EPIC Checking account, ATM fees charged by any ATM nationwide are refunded up to $12 per month or $3 per item.

Four requirements must be met each statement cycle to earn the yields.

1. Actively enroll in eStatements
2. Make at least 10 Visa Check Card transactions each month
3. Have one direct deposit, automatic debit or On-Line Bill Payer payment each month
4. Access On-Line Account Access at least once each month

For the first month, you’ll be paid the high yield and ATM fee refunds regardless of whether or not you meet the requirements. After that, if you don’t meet all four of the requirements during a month, the account will earn 0.25% apy on all balances and ATM fees will not be refunded.
